Monash staff will be able to purchase used vehicles from the Monash fleet. This process will be open to all Monash employees, excluding staff in Strategic Procurement.
Monash staff will have the opportunity to bid on vehicles before the general public via an auction process administered by ManhiemFowles (an automotive auctioneer). ManheimFowles will value the vehicle(s) as they become available and place an undisclosed reserve price on each vehicle. Any unsold vehicles at the conclusion of the bidding process will become available for the general public.
The bidding process can be viewed in detail on:
http://www.adm.monash.edu.au/procserv/vehicle-fleet/closed-tender-process/index.html
Any questions regarding the bidding process should be directed to Yvonne Yu on ext. 56085.

We need your bra!
Disadvantaged women in the third world often live without a bra. Second hand bras are sometimes available cheaply, but are rare in larger sizes. A new bra, if available can cost 10-30 hours wages, beyond reach for most.
Since 2005, Uplift through Rotary Australia World Community Service, has sent bras through secure channels, making sure they get to the women who need them without compromising their dignity.
At June 2008, over 40,000 bras have gone to Fiji, 2,000 to Vanuatu, and 500 to tong. PNG is next! Sports bras (for farm work) and nursing bras desperately needed. All second hand bras are welcome, as these usually do not attract import duty, worn out bras can be used for spare parts. New bras may also be taken into some countries.
The biggest sizes are the most needed and the hardest to get. Every bra donated will become the only bra that a particular woman may ever own.
Health, Wellbeing and Development (3N102) will be collecting the bras at Gippsland Campus and forwarding them to our local area drop off point at Employment Innovations, Suite 5/24 Breed Street, Traralgon or if you would prefer you can drop them off there directly.
For further information on this project you can visit www.upliftbras.org

On behalf of Friends of the Zoo, the Health, Wellbeing & Development team collects corks (both plastic and cork), which are then sent to the Zoo for recycling. The money raised currently goes towards Stage Two of the Asian Rainforest Exhibit, which includes a separate barn for the male elephant and the acquisition of more cow elephants. So the Zoo is eager to raise as much as possible towards the costs of the largest exhibit in its history. For more information, please contact Health, Wellbeing and Development.
