Are you work ready? Do you want real paid work experience?

Information for Engineering students
(Australian and International)

Introduction

The Co-op Program can provide undergraduate students studying Engineering at Monash University Gippsland Campus an invaluable opportunity to achieve both strong academic results and highly regarded workplace experience in a region recognised for its engineering capabilities and opportunities. The program also provides appropriate financial remuneration, academic credit for the work undertaken and additional professional development.

The majority of work placements for Engineering students are undertaken over the summer vacation. Students in four year Engineering degrees will commence work placements in the second year of study.

The Gippsland region has a current demand for engineers which provides a variety of opportunities for diverse work placement experiences. The local councils, water and power industries are just some of the employers seeking skilled, work ready graduates. Gippsland engineering students commonly secure full-time employment prior to graduating, and participating in the Co-op Program will further improve these prospects.
