“I am an artist who is interested in how people tell stories. My work is in figurative narrative painting and uses autobiographical and incident-as-metaphor methods to explore wider issues of knowing and belonging in oral traditions such as working class, childrens’ and artisan subcultures. It draws on pop, cartooning and joke narrative structures within contemporary culture. I exhibit at Melbourne and Sydney Galleries, where I have had 11 solo exhibitions. My work is also represented in the Australian National Gallery, Artbank, regional galleries and in numerous private collections.”
