“I obtained my PhD in Biotechnology from Swinburne University of Technology where I was the third member of the BioColloid group that developed into a major research facility focusing on Biotechnology, Bioactive Compounds and Fungal Technology. My thesis was entitled “Studies on the decolourising abilities of Pycnoporus cinnabarinus and the involvement of laccase“. In 2002 I obtained my MBA from the University of Melbourne ( Melbourne Business School) and later joined the then newly founded Australian Sustainable Industry Research Centre, which is Co-located on the Gippsland Campus of Monash University. I have been involved in lecturing at Monash since 2004 and joined the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering in 2006. My professional and research interests include Industrial Enzymology, White-rot Fungal Technology, Mycology, Protein Technology / Downstream Processing / Purification, Bioremediation and Wastewater Treatment, Composting and Vermiculture and Cleaner Production and Resource Efficiency.”
