“I have been a lecturer at the Gippsland School of Information Technology since 2003. My responsibilities include coordinating undergraduate projects for our School and speaking with clients from the industry, such as Telstra and Baw Baw Shire Council. They often state that besides good academic performance, an important criterion they look for in their potential recruits is experience in the workforce. Co-op Program offers our students valuable work experience in the industry, closely related to the course they are doing. Moreover, the work placement will add little or no extra time to the length of the course. Thus, I highly recommend this program to any potential students who are eligible for it .”
