“I chose to enrol in the Co-op Program because I thought it would be a great way to begin networking and gaining experience and skills in my industry and come out of uni more employable. I want to become a gallery curator either in a regional area or Melbourne. I feel that Co-op will help me achieve this by teaching me the skills and tools required in order to network and gain work in this industry. Co-op is an excellent Program that gives you the skills and tools to succeed in the workplace. This is achieved through regular group sessions with the Careers Advisor. Furthermore, Co-op creates pathways into industries and sets you apart from other graduates.”

“I am excited to be part of the Co-op Program as it gives me
an opportunity to get some practical hands-on experience in the Art industry. As
well as rising to the academic and artistic challenges in the Bachelor of Visual
Arts, I am really keen to experience the real work contexts available.
My dream job would allow me to work alongside established and emerging artists
in making work and/or in exhibiting it; perhaps in a gallery or workshop program.
I can imagine myself as part of some kind of Co-operative venture in communities,
working alongside other artists, governments and organisations, providing challenging
artistic experiences to bring greater acceptance of difference and enjoyment of
diversity.”
