“Co-op gives me the opportunity to graduate with some work experience already under my belt. It is also a great way to meet other university students and lecturers who are able to support me in my studies. Before I began studying I met some other Co-op participants, which means I had friends at university before I started classes. The Co-op Office has also given me fantastic support. My career aspirations are to become a Forensic Psychologist and to be one of the few females to work with offenders on Death Row in America. From my work placement I’m hoping to get an idea of the criminal justice system and develop skills that will help me work towards a career in the area. The Co-op Program is great because it allows you to make friends from other faculties and allows your resume to stand out from the crowd when you apply for your first job after your degree.”
