Monash Gippsland Roadshow

We are heading east!

Preparations are well underway for our road trip to East Gippsland in November, as part of meeting our objective and commitment to support isolated teachers and students.  Participating schools can choose their own program for our visit, selecting from specially designed activities in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Forensic Science and Mathematics.

Academic staff and students from the School of Applied Sciences and Engineering at Monash Gippsland will connect with each School community during their visit to demonstrate how science fits into everyday life and how things we take for granted would be unlikely without it.

Current university students will share their journey and transition from secondary school to tertiary study in science.  Addressing the local perspective, university staff will assist students in making the connection between science studies and science career pathways.

This is an exciting time for us and we expect our trip to be busy and rewarding for everyone.  We plan to leave Schools better informed when it comes to science.

Schools we will be visiting:

Tuesday 24 November Orbost Secondary College
GAP Project roadshow
Wednesday 25 November Cann River P-12
Thursday 26 November Lakes Entrance Secondary College
Tuesday 1 December Swifts Creek Secondary College
