About Gippsland Research
Research at the Gippsland campus is focusing on a wide range of topics, addressing both theoretical
and applied questions which have direct benefits for industry, government and society as a whole. There is an increasing trend to focus
research efforts on issues of current national significance and on those with particular relevance to Gippsland and other regional
areas. Monash Gippsland researchers are collaborating with other leading universities and research bodies in Australia and overseas.
Academic staff across the faculties represented at the Gippsland Campus are active in research projects
funded by research councils, government, industry, philanthropic bodies and others. In addition, the campus has almost 200 students studying
for higher degrees by research.
