Awards and Recognition

Mr Ray Beebe

Ray was declared winner of the 2004 Sir George Julius Medal for his book “Predictive maintenance of pumps using condition monitoring” published by Elsevier, London, March 2004.

During 2004 Ray also earned a Highly Commended Award from Emerald Literati Club for Condition monitoring of steam turbines by performance analysis, Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering, Vol 9, No 2, April 2003, Page: 102 – 112, “new and useful information that will benefit readers, appropriate presentation and style that allows easy access to concepts and data”.

Dr Yousef Ibrahim

IEEE gave recognition to Dr Yousef Ibrahim for his outstanding contribution to the ICIT 2003 International Conference on Industrial Technology, Maribor, Slovenia, in December 2003.

Ms Corrie Bos-Vanderzalm

Corrie was presented with a Research Excellence Award in recognition of outstanding contribution made as a graduate student to the research programme of the Centre for Green Chemistry in 2004.
