2005 Student Awards Presentation Night
A Monash Gippsland presentation evening was held on Thursday, June
2, 2005. A total of 48 awards were presented. The School of Applied Sciences
and Engineering presented a total of 28 awards, comprising 8 Gippsland
Industrial Engineering Scholarships, 16 Academic Excellence Awards and
4 Honours Scholarships.

Cassandra Tolsma receives a 2005 School of Applied Sciences and Engineering
Honours Scholarship from Professor Sam Adeloju, Head of School. Cassandra’s
research topic is titled “Characterisation of natural organic
matter in Gippsland waters”.

Professor Sam Adeloju presents Michael Meall with a certificate and
book voucher for “Academic Excellence in Second Year Mathematics” for
studies undertaken in 2004.

The Head of School presents David Smith with an “Academic Excellence
in Second Year Engineering” award for studies undertaken in 2004.
