Alison obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne for a thesis entitled “Chemical speciation of lead in wine by stripping potentiometry”. Before coming to Gippsland, Alison held the position of Lecturer in Chemistry at Charles Sturt University, and she was involved in both on- and off-campus teaching. At Gippsland, she teaches in areas ranging from analytical chemistry to environmental problems, particularly in relation to water resources.
