Jenny has a long-standing interest in science education, particularly in the development of innovative methods for flexible delivery of science programs to remote students and in designing science programs of both local and international relevance.

Teaching Commitments

Jenny is the unit advisor for the following units:

Research Interests

  • Techniques for genetic analysis and their applications for identification of elite trees (with Australian Paper Plantations) and for rapid identification of virus isolates (with WHO Collaborating Centre for Influenza Reference and Research).

  • The application of bioanalytical techniques to issues of regional interest, including biodegradation and potential use of biosolids (with Gippsland Water).
