Dushmanta obtained his PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Tokyo, Japan. Before coming to Gippsland, Dushmanta held the position of Associate Professor at the International Center for Urban Safety Engineering (ICUS), Institute of Industrial Science of the University of Japan, and he was involved in teaching, research and coordination of international collaborative research activities of ICUS through the Regional Network Office for Urban Safety of the University of Tokyo located at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. At Gippsland, he teaches in areas ranging from urban water supply to waste water to water resources modeling and management.
