Before coming to Gippsland, people used to tell me how much I would miss the city life back in Kuala Lumpur. The truth is, I did miss home but never did I
regret choosing this regional campus.
Monash Gippsland provides us with the facilities that other Monash Campuses have. The best part is the lecturers even know us by our first names! We can
gain absolute one-to-one attention regarding academic matters, as the number of students is not too large.
Just like any other international student, I was very anxious when I first arrived. However, I met really wonderful and sincere friends who helped me to
adapt to life here. There are heaps of international students here from Malaysia and different parts of the world, so there is no chance of me getting homesick.
I’ve saved a huge amount of money living here compared to living in the city. The city is only a couple of hours train ride and I can go down for a day
trip whenever I feel like it. There are many sweet memories here at Monash Gippsland. I have been involved in many social activities, which really enrich my
experience here. Like I told my parents, “Thank God I came to Gippsland!
