All Monash staff receive an email account as part of their computer access, and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. AccessStaff email is located on a cluster of centrally located servers. There are several methods of access. The Web Client is accessed by entering the URL mail.monash.edu.au into the location box of a web browser. Staff will be requested to enter their authcate username and password to login. A number of items within email may be personalised. Within the "Options" menu there are several submenus that deal with personal details, message settings, forwarding adresses, and vacation messages. Additionally, a summary is available giving information relating to the account, including quota usage. Use of IMAP requires the proper settings to be entered into a web browser (Netscape is the Monash standard), as well as an appropriate entry in the Monash mail routing files. School/Departmental support staff would normally assist with setup. Access is also available via the email tab in the My Monash Portal.
